10 May @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
MacRobertson was the Confectionary King of Fitzroy, 1859-1945
Born in Ballarat, raised in poverty Macpherson Robertson was determined to make a mark in Melbourne. An ardent self-promoter, he was energetic, farsighted, an entrepreneur, philanthropist, inventor, confectioner, and creator of the “Great White City”.

During this two-hour historical tour, we will also peek into the very private life story of this well-known confectioner.
Meet at 10.15 a.m. on the steps of the Fitzroy Town Hall, 201 Napier Street Fitzroy.
Duration – 2 hours (approx.) followed by coffee/lunch at local coffee shop at members’ expense.
