Will commenced tutoring in 1992 running a series of yearlong and short courses until 2007.

Will lead the yearlong Writers Workshop course, later known as Writers Scribes and Monday Writers, for 16 years. In 2003 he contributed to the Summer program, offering Collins Street and Nearby Treasures, later repeated as short course. In 2004 he offered the short course Back to the Czech Republic 91, ?? drawing on his personal history.

Based on 17 years of voluntary service to U3A Melbourne City, Will was commended and awarded Life Membership in 2011.
