About This Event
When mentioning the wonderful network of Lanes and Alleys in our CBD, most Melburnians identify those that run off Flinders Lane, while overlooking an equally interesting network of little streets on the other side of the city.
Commencing with three parallel east-west lanes we trace the history from commercialization to urban residency and how city council initiatives have breathed new life into this former drab area of the city. This ramble through Melbourne’s little streets of the west side will give insights to the history , the personalities and their stories that helped to shape the growth of a city. We’ll also throw in a surprise stop that gives a different perspective of the area.
