Joyce has been a dedicated and conspicuous volunteer since U3A City’s inception in 1985. 

Since joining in 1985 Joyce has worked as volunteer in the office, on a weekly basis until 2006 and fortnightly since then. Her contribution to the annual enrolments in February each year has been especially valued. 

Joyce joined the Committee in 1989, and has served continuously to the present. During this 19-year period she has notably held the position of Treasurer (1991-1993) and Secretary (1994-2000). 

Over the years, Joyce has attended and actively contributed to many different classes. 

Based on her sustained and distinguished volunteer contribution to U3A City, Joyce Bromage was commended for and awarded Life Membership in 2008.
